Riding Courses

We recommend these courses mainly for locals and people living in the vicinity of our farm (in Szeged, Kistelek, etc.), who are able and willing to attend riding courses regularly, on a weekly basis. These courses naturally also provide good opportunities for occasional riding activities.

You can participate in collective riding exercises only if you know the basics of riding. You can acquire the basic skills of riding on locations, where all the necessary conditions are available. These are basic requirements that we take very seriously.
Below you can see a short summary of our riding philosophy.
Riding, like any other activity in the world, develops and changes all the time. This activity incorporates intertwining elements of classic knowledge and skills acquired by riders for centuries, which emerge today in the form of an amplitude of diverse styles. Basic skills however have remained unchanged. These are:

1 Developing relations with the horse;
2 Balanced sitting on horseback (developing physical aptitude for riding);
3 Developing technical skills (basic means for influencing the horse: boots, bodyweight relocation, the use of reins);
4 Acquisition of basic practical riding experience.

At this stage one has no riding style. Learners need firmly established basic riding skills.
We are not turning a blind eye to new, “horse-friendly methods” however we also insist on applying classic methodology.
We have piled up many years of classic, diverse equestrian experience. Applying these, we make efforts to transfer this knowledge to enable the largest possible number of people to enjoy riding based on the best possible quality of training.

We start training a group every September. We organise training courses for this group once or twice a week, and we also organise equestrian week-ends for the group occasionally. Between September and December, the participants of these courses acquire basic riding skills that enable them to participate in collective cross-country riding tours. Cross-country riding in winter enhance the routine skills of riders. In spring we continue the course for the group with a curriculum that is similar to that applied in autumn. As a result of this group training experience, people in these groups develop enough skills for individual participation in larger-sale riding activities and longer tours the following summer and autumn.
These are intensive training courses for a limited number of participants.
You are kindly requested to consider participation during the year and indicate your intent for participation, provide reach and availability (telephone numbers, etc.) well before the course starts. You can also make inquiries about sit visits by telephone.
